Tumbles and Grumbles are looking for passionate, driven people with great energy, who share our vision to help save lives through empowering individuals with life saving skills.

We have two great franchise opportunities available. Each franchise requires a specific skill set, so just read on and see which one is best suited to you…

Rescuers for Life franchise delivers Baby and Child First Aid awareness courses for parents, grandparents and carers. Rescuers for Life also delivers fully accredited training for childcare professionals and enables young people, from 14 years and over to gain a professional first aid accreditation. This franchise would be suitable for registered healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, paramedics etc).

Little Rescuers franchise provides first aid training for children, from 3-14 years, and is therefore suitable for enthusiastic people with experience and interest in first aid and working with children. There is no requirement to be a healthcare professional for this franchise, just a genuine interest in helping others!

Why is it a good time to start providing first aid courses?

We firmly believe that the life saving skills of First Aid are hugely valuable skills that could make a difference to the survival rates in emergency situations.

The UK has a survival rate of around just 8.6% if you have a cardiac arrest outside of a hospital environment, compared to Scandinavia’s whopping 56% survival rate, where National CPR training was
introduced in the 1990s and First Aid is taught to children in schools.

Only 1 in 20 UK adults feel confident and willing to take action in potentially life-threatening emergencies

Our government is starting to sit up and listen. From 2020, it is planned that all schools in England and Wales will offer CPR training to all secondary school children and basic first aid to primary school children

Early bystander intervention can result in survival rates of 50-70%

Case Study

When on maternity leave, I knew that I wanted to continue to work with children (I’m a teacher by profession), but knew I didn’t want to go back full time. My family are all scientists (doctors/nurses), so the idea of teaching first aid to children really appealed to me. Having met Caroline and seen her passion for working with children and how inventive she had been with the scheme of work, making it fun and exciting for all, made me all the more interested. When doing the training, I had great fun and so did the children. They were really engaged and retained so much information. I was sold!!

In addition to the fulfilling nature of the job, I love the flexibility. I have previously suffered from severe anxiety and depression, caused by work place stress – this has never been an issue in this role. Caroline is really supportive, and I am now happy to call her my friend.

I had a parent come and talk to me recently. The parent is a medical professional and wanted to let me know how thrilled she was with what her daughter had leant. She had gone home and loved sharing what she had been doing and loved practicing with them. You can’t get better feedback than that!

How franchising with us works

First aid for adults (Rescuers for Life)

The Rescuers for Life franchise provides franchisees with a complete business package of materials and support in order to be able to deliver the Tumbles and Grumbles Paediatric first aid and emergency intervention training programmes to adults and children of secondary school age within the franchise area. It is ideal for those with a Healthcare background. The business model includes use of the Tumbles and Grumbles programmes and training materials and is supported by a comprehensive induction training and support programme covering all areas of the business.

First aid for kids (Little Rescuers)

The Little Rescuers franchise model is designed for people with an interest in delivering training to children. First aid training to younger children has to be delivered in an engaging and enjoyable way and so we have developed materials and programmes that uses a number of
different strategies (focussing on fun, play and team-work) to communicate our message. Children love learning new things, and we’ve found that our first aid training is very popular in schools. As with any child related activity, we will also require our franchisees to provide an enhanced DBS certificate.

The Rescuers for Life and Little Rescuers franchises work perfectly Hand in hand. For both franchise brands we provide access to our full range of training materials and methodology supported by a comprehensive training programme, business systems and operational tools in order to be successful. We also provide an ongoing support package, enabling you to replicate our success in your local area.
